Some weeks, it's so easy to pick a color scheme for the layout. And this week was one of those. When I printed my photos, it was easy to see that orange stood out in all the colored photos. I wanted to add other orange embellishments to really make it pop. I didn't want the layout to look to busy with a lot of color, so I kept it pretty simple with black and white.
The photos were kind of busy, so I didn't really need to add much. It was Grant's birthday this week, so I wanted to make sure I included those pictures. Astro and I spent a lot of time at home working on finishing up projects, so I was able to get several fun photographs of him.
Like every week, I used my typewriter to journal on vellum. I used a card from a Messy Box kit to attach the vellum too. Since Astro was in a lot of this weeks photographs, I used gold chipboard letters from an old Messy Box kit to spell out his name on top of the journaling card. 
It's so fun to look back at these pages already. I can't wait to flip through them years from now and remember these first moments in our new home!
