I already love this size. It's pretty so having enough space without being too big. I'm really enjoying it so far.
I wanted my book to be Monday- Sunday, so I started with week one as January 1-3. Here is my spread for week one:
Like I said in an earlier post, this spread was hard for me to do. I haven't made a scrapbook in a long time, so I felt really out of practice. I went back to it often and finally followed the advice of "done is better than good." It might not look exactly like I imagined it would, but it's complete! And I actually like how it turned out. It feels different from my usual style, but I think it came together nicely. I'm excited to keep practicing and getting more confident with my scrapbooking.
Are you working on a scrapbook this year? Send me a link if you have a blog, so I can check it out! xo. Laura
This looks awesome! Honestly, Ive never made a scrapbook, but have always wanted to. I, like you, always let life get in the way and never set aside time to actually document, other than taking photos and uploading them to my laptop, but never really doing much more than that! Looks like it will be such a fun project!!
Hi, Amber! Thank you so much! I think we are in the same boat. I dont even remember that last time I printed photos. This scrapbook is definitely helping me appreciate my photos and the discipline to set time aside for the things I value, like crafting. Do you think youll scrapbook or print your photos into an album or photo book?
Ahh, I LOVE the 6×12! Im still working in the 12×12 format but I have to say, this looks so awesome! I think its a great size for weekly scrapbooking. The use of the typewriter is a great idea. I always feel like my messy handwriting can ruin a pretty page so this could be a good alternative (your handwriting is way cuter than mine though haha!). Ive been trying to keep up with this year and, though Im still behind, Im just glad that I have managed to get some scrapbooking in! Ill have to send you some photos soon. Anyway, thanks for the inspiration!
