27 at 27 – Birthday Goals

I love birthday goals lists! I saw some posts years ago from Elise and Elsie and they’ve always inspired me to make my own birthday goals list. In the past, I haven’t been successful with completing my lists. I’d let the year slip by and realize I would have too much to accomplish by the next birthday. I’ve skipped the list for past few years, but I want to get back into it this year.

Tomorrow, I will be 27! I’ve made a birthday goals list of 27 things I want to do at 27. I’ll be tracking them here and probably in a separate scrapbook album. Here is the list:

27 at 27
  1. take a road trip
  2. run a 15k race
  3. take a 1 second video everyday
  4. hike 10 Arizona State Parks
  5. cook through Salt, Fat, Acid, and Heat
  6. take monthly self portraits
  7. hang photos in our home
  8. get aura reading
  9. go camping
  10. curate a dream wardrobe
  11. complete monthly photo challenges
  12. visit Salvation Mountain
  13. knit something
  14. start a new business
  15. visit Waco
  16. sew a quilt
  17. try 7 new taco restaurants
  18. attend Rise
  19. throw a “house warming” party
  20. complete projects from Year of Cozy
  21. take Christmas card photos
  22. paint on canvas
  23. see a ballet
  24. go on a picnic
  25. learn to use new camera
  26. learn French
  27. buy dream record player

Some of these are fun things I’ve never done. Some are things that have been on my do to list for a long time. And some are apart of big life goals that I have for myself. I think part of the reason that I wasn’t successful in the past is because I would make a list and it would sit under a pile of other things and I would forget about it. I’m going to try my hardest to make sure that doesn’t happen again this year! Feel free to keep me accountable by checking in!

I’m so excited about this list! I’m hoping to complete every single item, but to make sure I’m having fun doing it! What items would you include on your birthday list? – Laura

Thank you so much! I’m so glad this has inspired you. I’m going to be using this card for the scrapbook page at the end of this project!
