Kelly Purkey November Kit

When I opened my November kit from Kelly Purkey, I knew exactly what I was going to make. In 2011, I did the Disney College Program. When I was there, my family and came visited me during the weekend of my birthday. It was so much fun! We all knew that while we were there as a family that we wanted to go to the Wizard World of Harry Potter. When I saw the magic themed kit, I knew I wanted to work on these old pages. I have some major catching up to do on my scrapbooks and this months kit inspired me to dig through my box of tickets and memorabilia to get started!

I started, like always, picking my photos and pulling out cards that matched. What I loved about this months kit is that there are dark cards and bright cards. It makes it super easier to document both the Harry Potter theme parks or Disney parks (or any other magical memories)! I wanted the Harry Potter layout to be on the darker side, so I looked for the deep greens and blues.

I made a title card by running one of the 3×4 cards through the type writer. I was able to fit the title on three lines, so I added a fun stamp to the last line. On this layout, I mainly used the A Little Magic stamp set from the November kit. I also used the Sullivan St. alphabet stamp set to create a label for the Hogwarts picture.

I added details from the A Little Magic stamp set on multiple pictures and card to really play up the magic theme. So perfect for the wizarding world!

Some photos are too busy to stamp directly on, so I added small bits of paper or a label. I like using labels best, because they add a pop of color.

I was able to find a ticket from when we visited the park, so I tucked that in a pocket as well. I love my box of memorabilia! It needs to be organized so badly, but I’ve saved so many details from trips and events. It makes scrapbooking easier by reminding me of little details to add to my pages.

What magic moments are you going to be documenting with the November kit? Do you have a box of memorabilia? If so, how do you organize your “to be scrapbooked” items? xo. Laura
