A Little Update

Lately, things have been pretty good. It finally is starting to feel like Grant and I are getting settled in our home. We still need to organize the bathroom closet, the craft/guitar/comic room, and somehow get all our clothes to fit into one small closet and a tiny dresser. I have some DIY ideas, so new projects will be coming to the blog soon.

Another area of the house that needs some help is the kitchen. It's a pretty good size kitchen for small house, but it doesn't have a ton of cabinet space. We got our dishes, small appliances, and pots and pans to fit, but it didn't leave much room for food. I drew up plans to make a rolling cabinet, so (with the help of dad) I'll be sharing that soon as well. I'm excited to make that space really functional. I'm a messy cook/baker and I need everything to be easy to reach to limit the size of the mess. (You should have seen the red velvet cupcake disaster that happened yesterday. Let's just say, red food coloring and I don't mix well.)

I'm glad that we chose a house to rent over an apartment. It fits our live style better, but it's also teaching us what we value in a home. These lessons will make future house hunting much easier. But for now, it's nice to have a little space in the world to make ours. xo. Laura

Moving and settling in is so exciting! I really want to move into a house too to rent with my friend but right now its just a pipe dream. Decorating and getting all my stuff to fit is really the most exciting part I think. Cant wait to see some more pictures!

Moving to a new place is so fun! I love coming up with new ideas on how to decorate the space. I have a couple big projects to finish before I post pictures, but pictures of our house and project tutorials will be coming soon!
