Working on the January session of the One Little Word class from Ali Edwards was so fun. I didn’t have the layout put together in January, but I’m so glad I made sure to answer the questions in January. The title page was pretty simple and light, so I wanted to bring that same style to this January layout. This January layout is mostly made up of the cards from the class and a few cards from old Messy Box kits. I’m so excited to see what this word takes me!
Ali’s class came with so many amazing printables, so that’s what I mainly used to make this page. I printed the “jan” card just on photo paper with my Canon printer. The “one word” card as from the course and I printed it on card stock. I used mini alphabet stamps to add my work to the card with black ink. The pink card was from an old Studio Calico kit. And the ampersand flair is from Paper and Spool.
All the cards in the page are from the OLW class, except the blue polka dot one. That’s from an old subscription kit. I printed some photos of my photo album project, which is the inspiration for CHERISH. I’m excited to see this project progress throughout the album. The class came with monthly “this month I will” cards, I wanted to keep these out of the pockets, so I printed it on card stock and stamped my goal for January. My wedding was that month, so I knew I wouldn’t be able to take on too much.
I wanted to document my monthly goals, so on the back I added a photo of that goal in progress. I love how this turned out. It’s a fun way of adding goals and details into my album.
I’m so happy to have this questions and answers in my album. Sometimes I get behind, but I’m glad I had these completed in January. I usually use a type writer to add text to my albums, but I wanted to feel a little more connected to this album so I used my hand writing.
I’m happy to have this layout completed! I’m absolutely loving participating with the One Little Word class. It’s been so helpful. So far, I’ve made a lot of progress on my photo album revamp project. Are you making a One Little World album? How is it going? xo. Laura
