Hey scrapbookers! It’s time for the new May release products from Kelly Purkey Shop. Every month, I think “These colors could not be any better.” Then the next month is BETTER! I love the colors in the May kits. They are so bright and fun. They are perfect for documenting my summertime memories.
I always start my layouts by finding my pictures for the week, cropping, and printing them. I love my Canon iP8720 printer. I think I finally found a filing system that works for my photos. I’ll be sharing about that soon! Once the photos are printed and laid out in the way I want them, I add the journaling cards. I move everything around until I find the perfect layout. Next, it’s time for embellishments. Like every week, I used a label to document the date in the top, left corner.
Stamping is my favorite scrapbooking technique. I love that each stamp has endless uses. Lately, I’ve been using the stamps definitely but only inking certain parts of the stamp. Like the “yay!” on the label on my new handles pictures. Or the “let’s be weird together” stamp. I inked the first part of the phrase and stamped it down. Once the ink dried, I inked “together” and stamped it on a label. It’s fun to switch up how the stamp can be used.
I used two different alphabet sets that came in the traveler’s notebook kit and the main kit. I love that the alphabet stickers are sold separately too. I use them so often and it’s great to order more when I run out of certain letters. In this layout, I used the white mini alphas and the black alphas.
This layout was so fun to make! It’s so fun to get messy with ink and stamping. What is your favorite product from the May release from Kelly Purkey Shop? Also, I want to write a blog post about how I organize my photos on my hard drive. Leave your photo storage, photo album, or scrapbooking questions in the comments! xo. Laura
