Hello! If you saw my Instagram post the other day you know I'm working on a big, special project! I like the create projects and goal that revolve around my birthday. This year for my 25th birthday, I'm doing my own version of The Happiness Project! I listened to the audiobook several months ago and I can't stop thinking about it. If you haven't read (or listened to) the book, I highly recommend it!
For my project, I don't want to focus on happiness per se, but I want to focus on the parts of my life that me feeling stuck. I feel happy overall, but I could be more at peace if I work on certain aspects of my life. I try working on these areas daily, but end of feeling overwhelmed. Or I don't put in enough effort. Or I forget. Or life just takes over. But I'm tired of life taking over and feeling overwhelmed and frantic. This project is designed to improve the areas of my life that are making me feel out of control, so I can slow down and life more intentionally.
So here is what I'm going to do. Every month from May 2017 to April 2018 (my 25th year) I'll be working on a specific part of my life and following my rules to replace my current bad habits with good ones. The idea is that each month, I'll build up the habits to continue though the year. Here are the goals for each month:
May is health.
June is business.
July is organization.
August is style.
September is decorating.
October is create.
November is cooking.
December is enjoy.
January is adventure.
February is marriage.
March is try.
April is self.
Each month, I will release my rules for the intention at the beginning of the month and results at the end. Progress during the project will be shared on my Instagram (@laura_hager) using the hashtag #intention25.
I'm really excited about this project. It's all about growing, cultivating, discovering, finishing, trying, making, failing, changing, adapting, loving, and enjoying. It's about finding who I am and finding confidence. It's about creating the life I want to life and the habits to stick with it. Thanks for being excited about this project. Your support, as always, means the world to me. xo. Laura
