Ghost Hunting in Bisbee

For Father's Day, we got my dad a trip to Bisbee to go ghost hunting. We wanted to wait until the weather was nicer, so we took the trip last Thursday and Friday. We used to watch the ghost hunting shows together, so it's something fun and different to do together. Two years ago, we went to Jerome, so we wanted to check out another haunted city in Arizona. We also checked out Tombstone on our way back. I hadn't been to Bisbee or Tombstone since I was about 4 years old, so it was cool to go back. We stayed at the Copper Queen Hotel in Bisbee. When we first got there, we walked around all the cute shops and had lunch. Bisbee is known for mining. We had some extra time, so we did the mine tour in an old copper mine. Our ghost tour was in the evening, so we went back to the hotel to set up our ghost hunting equipment and learned about some of the ghosts at the hotel. It was very spooky to be walking around the hotel late at night in the dark, but it was fun! We didn't encounter any ghosts, but we had a great time. To get back home, we drove right through Tombstone, so we stopped for lunch and to check out some of the sites. We saw a reenactment of the shootout at OK Corral and toured the old Bird Cage Theater. There were cowboys, stagecoaches, and other people in themed outfits that were walking all over the town. It's such a fun place to visit and learn about Arizona history. -Laura
