DIY Natural Cleaning Products with Essential Oils

There are so many chemicals is the regular cleaning products that you find at the store. Eliminating these chemicals in my home is so important to me, so I love finding ways to make safe, natural diy verisons at home. Today, I’m partnering with Got Oils Supplies again to show you how to make three different natural cleaning products with their 16 oz spray bottles. These cleaners are all made with essential oils. These cleaners smell amazing and don’t include any artificial fragrances!

DIY All Purpose Cleaner:
1 cup filtered water
1 cup white vinegar
35 drops of lime essential oil
20 drops of grapefruit essential oil
15 drops of lavender essential oil

This cleaner is so simple, so inexpensive and works so well. It goes smell like vinegar when you use it, but the smell dissipates fairly quickly. The essential oil combination in this clean smells so good. I love the citrus with the mix of floral from the lavender.

DIY Natural Glass Cleaner:
1.5 cups filtered water
1/8 cup rubbing alcohol
1/8 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon cornstarch
20 drops of lemongrass essential oil
20 drops of sweet orange essential oil

To make this glass cleaner, I heated my water in the microwave for about 30 seconds, just long enough to make it warm to help the cornstarch dissolve. Then, in the measuring cup, I mixed all the ingredients, except the essential oils, and made sure the cornstarch had mixed in completely. Then I poured the mixture into the spray bottle. Lastly, I added the oils. This glass cleaner works great on mirrors, glass, and chrome. It cleaned our bathroom faucet so well!

Vinager-free All Purpose Cleaner:
2 cups filtered water (I used just under 2 cups, so the mixture would fit in my bottle)
1/8 cup unscented Castile soap
15 drops of lime essential oil
15 drops of lavender essential oil

When I first started making my own cleaning products a lot of websites said that the vinegar cleaners didn’t smell the vinegar. That’s so not true. The smell goes away and is easy to get used to, but it definitely has a smell. If that bothers you or if you have guest coming and don’t want the house to smell like vinegar right after cleaning, you can try this version! It costs a little bit more than vinegar, but not by much. It’s completely unscented though, so it makes it easy to make your own scents!

The Castile and vinegar all purpose cleaners can be used to clean the same things, it just gives you an option if you are wanting to avoid the vinegar smell. I love these cleaners! They are so easy to make with every common items you might already have around the house. And they are SO MUCH cheaper to make than using store bought cleaning products. It’s also fun to make your own scents and blends to customize the products.

Again, I came up with some basic names for my sprays and added them with white alphabet stickers. Got Oils Supplies is offering 10% off your first purchase! Click here to get these spray bottles and to save 10%.
