It’s release day at Kelly Purkey Shop! There are so many amazing products this month! I’m still experimenting with my new travelers notebook scrapbook and I’m so excited to show you how I used the February You Got This Kit from Kelly Purkey Shop to make a layout about my honeymoon. I’ve decided to use this travelers notebook to create a newlywed journal. One of my One Little Word goals was to document life as a newlywed, so I love that I have this fun, new style of scrapbooking/journaling to experiment with.
This months You Got This kit is so beautiful! The colors a pretty, but it includes a lot of black and white which I love. I loved the pink and navy leaf print, so I started with that and chose a green to pair with it. Our honeymoon was in Cambodia, so it was perfect that these TN papers gave the page an instant tropical vibe.
I always like to add alphabet stickers as my titles and captions. I love the alphabet stickers that Kelly Purkey Shop offers, because they are simple, beautiful text. And the same styles come in several different color options, so it’s easy to mix and match the text. Like on this page, I used the green mini alphabet stickers and the white alphabet stickers that were included in the kit. But both sets are available for purchase in the Kelly Purkey Shop! Which is perfect, because I ran out of N’s for this page ha! It will say “HONEYMOON IN CAMBODIA” when I get my new pack of alphabet stickers from the shop.
Labels are another one of my go-tos for scrapbooking. It’s an easy way to add text to a busy background and cover any mistakes. I’m using that blue label for both of these reasons on this page! I was attaching my photo and dropped it and the adhesive took off some of the navy color from the paper. Easy fix was just to add a label!
I love the dark green paper, but it made it hard to add stamp directly to the paper. I decided to use things like labels, vellum, paper, and grid paper to make my stamps and text easier to read. Of course, I had to add more alphabet stickers! No wonder I run out of letters so quickly! The stamps from the products this month were so pretty! I added more stamps around the pages, like on a tag on the pink paper. The stamp on the tag is from the Carpe Diem Mini kit in the shop!
The Traveler’s Notebook kits are selling out so quickly! I checked the website right after the sale went live and they were already sold out! If you don’t want to miss another kit, I recommend signing up for the new Traveler’s Notebook Subscriptions. It insures that you won’t miss any of the TN kits and you get awesome bonuses, like digital copies of the papers and access to the shop website before the sale goes live! Which is a great opportunity to buy stamp sets and products before the sell out.
Click here to subscribe to the Traveler’s Notebook kits. And click here to subscribe to the Main kit! The TN kit is already sold out for February, but if you still want the prints you can buy a digital copy! I added the link in the product list below.
