Kelly Purkey January Kit

Hi Scrapbookers! I’m so excited to show you my new project using the products from Kelly Purkey Shop released this January. These kits are so good! I’ve been wanting to try working with the Traveler’s notebooks, so I decided to make an album using a Midori Traveler’s notebook to document my life as a newly wed. I’m so excited to play around with this different size. For this project, I started my new album by creating a title page for the journal.


I started the layout by picking two papers from the Kelly Purkey Shop January Traveler’s Notebook kit. I loved the yellow/green color with the navy and the two different types of patterns. I using my printer to print a small 3×3 photo of our wedding rings. I backed the photo by cutting down pink paper from the kit. The postage stickers that come with the kit are so cute. I wanted to include one, so I added it to the bottom. Then, I added the purple alphabet stickers that were included with the January Main kit to document the year.


Since the left side had pink, I wanted to balance out the right side by adding that same pink. I used a label from the Main kit with a stamp from the We Go High stamp set. I want to take a minute to talk about this stamp set. It’s so good! This stamp set is perfect for documenting memories from the Women’s March or any other strong women moment. The stamps are still diverse enough to be used in other ways, like my layout here. It sold out crazy fast, so Kelly Purkey Shop has opened it up for another preorder. I used the pink alphabet stickers included in the kit to add some text. I wanted to brighten up the navy, so I added another piece of paper from the kit that I cut down. I wanted to leave room for journaling, so I added a layer of vellum over the green paper. I added the same purple alphabet stickers that I used on the left side to add our last name.


I can’t decide if I want to journal on this page or not, so I’m leaving it blank for now. I’ll probably keep the journaling in this book private, but share the layouts that I make. It’s going to be so fun to have a new style of scrapbooking to work this. I can’t wait to create more pages for this book. I got a Canon Selphy for Christmas and I just ordered some accessories to go with it. It’s going to be fun to have this new Traveler’s Notebook format and some on the go printing options. I’ll share my regular scrapbook supplies list as well as a Canon Selphy list, so you can see what I’m using.
