Kelly Purkey October Kit

Hi Scrapbookers! Happy Monday! I wanted to show you a project I made with the October kits from Kelly Purkey. The October kits perfectly capture the warm, cozy colors of fall into two sweet kits. I loved the Best of Times kit (the main kit), because it came with a time themed stamp set. It was my first time using a time stamp set and I love that I now have a new way to document memories.

One of my favorite layout styles is using the 3×3 pocket pages. I used the cards from the Kelly Purkey main kit and just trimmed them a little bit to fit into the pocket pages. I used the This is Us stamp set to add a bunch of details to the page. I loved the square with the two different leaf stamps. The contrast of the orange leaf and the green plaid is so good! I love how it pops!

My dad has been helping us on some project around the house and he is always making things fun and silly. The “this is my kind of crazy” stamp fit so perfectly with the week I was documenting. If a stamp doesn’t fit how you want it, you can get creative with how you stamp it. I was adding this to a label and I needed it to not be as long. I just inked half of the phrase and stamped it and then inked the other half and stamped it under the first. It worked so well to get this stamp where I wanted it to fit.

The We Are Blessed stamp set is perfect for creating whatever phrase you want! I used it to make a card that said “family time.” It’s such versatile stamp set! This set matches previous sets from Kelly Purkey, but uses fall themed words.

I also loved the alphabet stamps that came with the October kits. I used them to spell out “morning tea” and “new flowers” to two of my photos. I also loved the new alphabet stamp set, Washington Heights, that was released in October. I used craft paper to add some text with the stamps and it turned out so cute.

These October kits are so warm and fun to use to document all the special fall memories. It just makes me feel happy to look at the finished layout. I hope you have as much fun with these kits as I did! Let me know in the comments what your favorite October stamp set from Kelly Purkey is and what you are using it to document! xo. Laura
