My Solo Trip to Flagstaff

Hello! I was working on printing photos for my weekly scrapbook and came across my photos of my solo trip to Flagstaff a week ago. After sending those to the printers, I had to stop by to tell you about my favorite day, so far, in 2016!

Flagstaff got a large snow fall and I wanted to go check it out! Grant was out of town and I couldn't get anyone to go up North for the day with me, so I made it a solo trip! And, man, I'm so glad I did. It felt weird as first to do something that I would normally do with Grant or my family alone, but a few minutes into the drive, I changed my mind. It was so nice to do something new alone. I got to listen to what I wanted to on the radio, took pictures in the snow for as long as I wanted, and sat and read for a while. Maybe that sounds selfish, but it was nice to do something different.

I was worried about driving in the snowy weather, but everything went well. Great, actually! There was surprisingly no traffic on the way up or down.

It was an amazing, quiet day filled with inspiration, cute winter clothes, and delicious chai tea. This day was exactly what I have been looking for in 2016. Inspiration, personal growth, and creativity.

I listened to episodes of The Lively Show.

I read Big Magic. (Amazing! Go read it!)

I drank tea at Steep.

I'm already adding places to visit solo to my travel list! Have you taken trips like this before? If you have any recommendation or inspiration, I'd love to hear it! Thanks for reading! Laura
