Hi! I’m excited to finally be showing you my One Little Word Album’s title page. I made this a while ago, but just haven’t shared it with you yet. In case you didn’t know, my One Little Word for 2018 is CHERISH. I wrote more about my goals for the word here. A large part of my goals for CHERISH is to complete the One Little Word class from Ali Edwards. With that, I’m going to be completing a scrapbook album about my word. This is my title page for the beginning of the album.
For the title page, I used a sheet of paper from the Open Book paper collection. I stamped with white ink on vellum to make the piece behind the black text, then I stapled vellum to the paper with my tiny attacher. The black alphabet stickers are from Kelly Purkey Shop. To add a little more detail, I glue silver stars around the page.
I wanted it to capture some of what CHERISH means to me, so I love the paper with the houses. I love that it’s simple, but fun.
For the inside page, I decided to use an old photo because my family’s photographs are what inspired this project. It felt like I need a photo on this first page, so went through the old photos and I found this one of me. Based on the background, I think I’m in kindergarten working on a project and the teacher took a picture. I love that I’m holding a Sharpie and working on a creative project, so I decided to use that photo.
It was scanned in and saved on my hard drive, so I just printed another copy with my Canon printer. I backed it with textured paper and attached it to the page. To tie the two pages together, I used the same black alphabet stickers to add text to this page too.
I love how these two pages turned out! I’m trying really hard to keep up with these goals and I love that I have an album to keep track of them in. Do you have a One Little Word? If so, what is it? And are you making an album for it? Let me know in the comments! xo. Laura

A big part of my 100 Days of Making is to use up supplies I’ve been hoarding. It’s so tough to use the pretty paper ha! Luckily, I have another piece of this, so that made it a little easier!
